So, why do I call John Burton the Quincy Jones of Hudson Valley?
So John reached out to me last week and asked if I'd be interested in doing his podcast. Now before I said yes, I obviously had to do my due dilligence and make sure everything was good. Went to the website, and found this video where he corralled 30-40 area musicians to perform an original tune he wrote entitled “Won't Be Broken”.
If that ain't Quincy Jones-esque I don't know what is. If you watch the video, you'll understand the comparison. I'm sure if John were reading this, he'd shrug off the compliment but by doing this, he was able to raise awareness for some of the area non-profit organizations that are dear to him.
By THE WAY, he's doing it again in April and invited me to take part….which I am! I might also do something similar right here in my area. Any takers for the musicians reading this?!
